Sembra una classica cyclette, ma al posto del manubrio ha un ripiano sul quale poggiare libri, quaderni, penne, matite.
Il suo nome è “bici-banco” ed è la riproduzione dell’invenzione di Mario Leroux, un pedagogista canadese che, con questo strumento, ha pensato di aiutare gli studenti con Adhd (sindrome da deficit di attenzione e iperattività) di cui soffre dal 5 all’8 per cento degli alunni.
Gli alunni maschi hanno una probabilità maggiore, quasi tre volte, di essere colpiti rispetto alle femmine.
«Ci sono tanti bambini iperattivi che proprio non ce la fanno a stare fermi - spiega Laura Branchi, vice dirigente dell’Istituto comprensivo di Teglio -. Hanno bisogno di muoversi; così, facendo delle ricerche, ho trovato informazioni sulla bici-banco. Ho chiesto a FabLab Sondrio se avessero potuto realizzane una per noi e l’associazione di promozione sociale, con cui abbiamo già collaborato in passato, ancora una volta ci è stata vicina. Ha costruito la bici-banco che ha donato all’Istituto comprensivo di Teglio. Di questo siamo molto grati ai volontari del gruppo che sono sempre disponibili oltre che professionali. Abbiamo provato a usarla e devo dire che è molto utile, perché aiuta gli studenti a canalizzare le energie. In pratica il bambino può leggere mentre pedala». Bastano anche solo quindici minuti per “sfogare” l’argento vivo che i ragazzini hanno dentro producendo anche dei risultati per sé (gestiscono il loro problema e nello stesso tempo lavorano) e senza disturbare la classe.

He built the bicycle-bench he donated to the Teglio Institute. Of this we are very grateful to the group volunteers who are always available as well as professional. We tried to use it and I must say that it is very useful, because it helps the students to channel the energies. In practice, the child can read while pedaling ». It takes only fifteen minutes to "vent" the bright silver that the kids have inside, producing results for themselves (they manage their problem and at the same time work) and without disturbing the class.
