La bicicletta di Bartali

E' stato presentato dal 7 al 9 marzo al Cartoon Movie di Bordeaux: l’appuntamento che presenta il meglio dei progetti europei di lungometraggi in animazione.

“La bicicletta di Bartali. La speranza del domani“, il progetto coprodotto da Lynx Multimedia Factory con Rai Ragazzi, nato da un’idea di Israel Cesare Moscati, con la regia di Enrico Paolantonio, i disegni di Corrado Mastantuono, soggetto e sceneggiatura di Marco Beretta e Israel Cesare Moscati. 
Un cartoon che parte dalla vicenda sportiva e umana del grande campione fiorentino per raccontare una storia di pace e di solidarietà in una realtà difficile come quella del Medio Oriente. 

La protagonista della storia è proprio la bicicletta di Gino Bartali, quella stessa con la quale ha trionfato tante volte, ma anche quella con cui negli anni ‘43/’44 trasportò documenti falsi per salvare centinaia di persone, soprattutto di religione ebraica, dalla barbarie nazifascista.

 Nel lungometraggio il campione regala la sua bicicletta a un artigiano, proprio uno degli ebrei salvati dal suo eroismo, che poi emigra in Israele. L’artigiano trasmette la passione per il ciclismo al nipote David e proprio grazie a lui la bicicletta tornerà in attività in un racconto che unirà il ragazzino ebreo e il suo amico arabo, una storia dove sport e solidarietà riescono a vincere le reciproche diffidenze delle due comunità.

«È un progetto che ci appassiona molto – dice Evelina Poggi di Lynx Multimedia Factory– l’altruismo disinteressato di Bartali e il suo slancio generoso verso i perseguitati e chiunque avesse bisogno di aiuto sono una carica di energia per le nuove generazioni di sportivi e per tutti i ragazzi che si avvicineranno a questo film».

A cartoon that starts from the sporting and human story of the great Florentine champion to tell a story of peace and solidarity in a difficult reality like that of the Middle East.
The protagonist of the story is precisely the bicycle of Gino Bartali, the same one with which he triumphed many times, but also the one with which in the '43 / '44 he carried false documents to save hundreds of people, especially from the Jewish religion, from barbarism Nazis and Fascists.

In the feature film, the champion gives his bicycle to a craftsman, one of the Jews saved by his heroism, who then emigrates to Israel. The craftsman transmits his passion for cycling to his nephew David and thanks to him the bicycle will return to activity in a story that will unite the Jewish boy and his Arab friend, a story where sport and solidarity can win the mutual distrust of the two community.
