Il tema della sicurezza in bicicletta è da sempre al centro di discussioni senza fine. Ma come implementare sistemi sempre più efficaci per permettere ai ciclisti di pedalare in condizioni di maggiore tranquillità? Il dispositivo su cui è più facile intervenire è senz’altro il casco. In questo filone si inserisce il Briko Cerebellum One.

“Abbiamo provato a trasformare il casco da uno strumento di protezione passiva a uno strumento di protezione attiva” spiega Carlo Boroli, global brand manager dell’azienda specializzata nella produzione di dispositivi di sicurezza per sci e ciclismo. “Cerebellum One – prosegue – è il primo casco al mondo dotato di un ‘cervelletto’ che trasmette informazioni allo smartphone posizionato sul manubrio della bici e che dà in tempo reale una serie di informazioni molto importanti per il ciclista”. A cominciare dallo specchietto retrovisore, fino a un sensore di prossimità posteriore e a un allarme in caso di incidente inviato via sms a un numero predefinito.

Sotto la calotta del casco, infatti, sono presenti un microprocessore intelligente che integra un radar, due telecamere Full HD anteriore e posteriore, un multisensore Gps e un giroscopio. Una volta collegato allo smartphone, dunque, il casco offre sette funzionalità come lo specchietto retrovisore, un radar anti-investimento, un crash alert via sms, una scatola nera, una luce di posizione a led, due telecamere per foto e video in Full HD e un avviso di disidratazione.

In caso di incidente con un veicolo o di caduta accidentale, Cerebellum One invia in automatico un sms geolocalizzato a un contatto selezionato dall’utente in modo da informarlo e consentirgli di avvertire i soccorsi. Nello stesso momento, la scatola nera integrata archivia in cloud le immagini dei 2 minuti precedenti e immediatamente successivi all’impatto utili a ricostruire la dinamica dell’incidente ed eventuali responsabilità.

In più, attraverso appositi sensori, il casco è in grado di rilevare la temperatura e la sudorazione del ciclista che, in caso di necessità, riceve sullo smartphone un avviso per evitare problemi di disidratazione.

"Cerebellum One - he continues - is the first helmet in the world equipped with a 'cerebellum' which transmits information to the smartphone positioned on the handlebar of the bike and which gives in real time a series of very important information for the cyclist". Starting with the rear view mirror, up to a rear proximity sensor and an alarm in the event of an accident sent via SMS to a predefined number.

Under the helmet shell, in fact, there are an intelligent microprocessor that integrates a radar, two front and rear Full HD cameras, a GPS multi-sensor and a gyroscope. Once connected to the smartphone, therefore, the helmet offers seven features such as the rear view mirror, an anti-investment radar, a crash alert via sms, a black box, a LED position light, two cameras for photos and videos in Full HD and a warning of dehydration.

In the event of an accident with a vehicle or an accidental fall, Cerebellum One automatically sends a geolocalized text message to a contact selected by the user in order to inform him and allow him to notify the rescuers. At the same time, the integrated black box stores the images of the 2 minutes before and immediately after the impact in the cloud, useful for reconstructing the dynamics of the accident and any responsibilities.

In addition, through special sensors, the helmet is able to detect the temperature and sweating of the cyclist who, in case of need, receives a warning on the smartphone to avoid dehydration problems.
