• Capacità di mantenere inalterate le caratteristiche chimico fisiche del liquido nel tempo;
• Incapacità di trasmettere odori e sapori ai liquidi contenuti;

• Borracce per ciclismo su strada: sono leggere, di piccole dimensioni e costituite da un corpo in polietilene e un tappo a vite in materiale plastico. Sono ergonomiche e il beccuccio di bevuta è esterno, per permettere al ciclista di poggiare le labbra senza compiere altri gesti e diminuire al minimo le tempistiche;

• Funzionamento del beccuccio: fate scattare e chiudete il beccuccio e valutate se sia resistente ed efficace oppure forzato o troppo lasco;
• Certificazione: osservate il fondo della borraccia. Dovete trovarvi impresso il simbolo per il nullaosta ministeriale per il contenimento di alimenti destinati all’alimentazione umana (di solito una forchetta e un bicchiere), i codici di materiali con i quali è costruita (PE, PP, PVC), il nome del fabbricante, la data di fabbricazione e la possibilità del lavaggio in lavastoviglie;

Hydrate is the main rule for a cyclist.

A god drinking bottle must comply with regulations for containers in contact with liquids for human consumption, specifically:
• Ability to maintain the physical and chemical characteristics of the liquid over time;
• Inability to transmit odors and flavors to the liquid contents;
• Free of chemical elements such as phthalates, acids which are used to soften plastics:
• Before BPA, bisphenol polycarbonate derived from synthetic and harmful to health.

The water bottles are not all equal, but there are different types designed for the most diverse purposes and disciplines:
• Bottles for road cycling: they are light, small in size and consist of a polyethylene body and a screw cap of plastic material. They are ergonomic and the drinking spout is outside, to allow the rider to rest his lips without making other gestures and decrease to a minimum the timing;
• Bottles for MTB: are similar to those on the road but are very often equipped with a "hat" of the nozzle protection, so that mud, water and earth becomes deposited above.
• Water bottle for cold liquids: are designed for cyclists and cyclists running by bike during the summer. They have an inner lining suitable to contain and keep cold liquids.
• Bottles for large volumes: have an internal volume ranging from 0.75 to 1.5 liters capacity.
• Bottles for hot liquids: are used by cyclists and cycling tourists who do not give the exit even when temperatures are below freezing.

Very often, when you buy a water bottle, it pays attention only to the price or aesthetics, leaving out the other details. If you want to buy new bottles, you must also pay any attention to these aspects:
• Size: weigh up if the bottle will enter the cage of your bike.
• Resistance of the cap: try to open and close several times the cap, in order to test the consistency and assess how grafted on the thread of the body.
• Operation of the spout: you shoot and close the spout and assess whether it is robust and effective or tight or too loose;
• Odors Interior: unscrew the cap and sniffed the inside. It must be perfectly odorless or at best put off until a slight plastic smell.
• Certification: look at the bottom of the bottle. You have to find imprinted symbol for ministerial authorization for the storage of foodstuffs for human consumption (typically a fork and a glass), the codes of the materials with which it is built (PE, PP, PVC), the manufacturer's name , the date of manufacture and the possibility of washing in the dishwasher;
