Among the new e-bikes of the future are the hybrid bike, a cross between a motorcycle (naked style) and a bicycle, cargo bikes, 3-wheel bikes, and covered bikes. They are among the innovations of 6 new Milanese startups that were presented yesterday, at Palazzo Giureconsulti, at the #Bikeconomy Youth Table promoted by the Milan, Monza, Brianza and Lodi Chamber of Commerce.

The grand touring hybrid electric bicycle that looks like a motorbike just by looking at it, "is a hyper bike, a grand touring bike, trips out of town and travel, a brand to satisfy a niche among enthusiasts of the sector and luxury", explains Martina Consonni, the project manager of Arlix (Basiglio). The bike was born from an idea of two friends, Agostino and Giancarlo, who in the 1980s assembled and modified motorcycles in their garage to take part in amateur competitions. For now there are 12 unique pieces, it is sold for 18 thousand euros and the challenge for the producers is "to find a strong partnership that is able to support us".

Alessandro Ledda, from Pogliano Milanese, is sure to conquer the market by making deliveries with the different models of his cargo bikes. "The first idea was to transport the beer inside a container mounted on the bike," he says. Fedez bought one for him: "The one he bought is designed only to carry the children around, it costs 5,000 euros and is the cheapest one, it can also be adapted by putting the box to carry around, for example, the dog. The bikes are two and a half meters long and Alessandro Ledda takes them directly in the van to the home of whoever buys them. "These are the bikes that will replace cars. And they could also be used as a cargo bike for events, street food, concerts".

The bike that according to its creator replaces a car is a coupé. The eye-catcher is the retro style because it makes it look like a rickshaw, being covered by a roof and with side openings that can also be closed with fabric doors which instead, to open, will roll up on themselves, like a curtain. "My first inspiration was Karl Benz's first car, which in 1893 created a tricycle", says Paolo Granelli, of Indimob Srl, referring to the tricycle patent powered by a single-cylinder engine which on January 29, 1886 Benz presented in Berlin as the means that would have been "the substitute for the horses." With my e-bike with the carbon fiber body you can go around even when it rains, you can enjoy the comfort inside, there is a real and ergonomic seat , the bike allows you to carry a passenger, has a boot with a load capacity of 40 kilos and therefore you can do the shopping". There are also the naked version without bodywork, and the cargo one for transporting things (up to about 150 kilos weight). The full optional coupé costs 8,000 euros (it will be on sale from spring), the other 2 models start at 4,000 euros and can go up to 6,500. these bikes are not there, and we will be the first me to arrive. We want to go there and also to Germany. We will sell online."

New e-bikes designed for tourist facilities and for holidays, on the other hand, were tested in low cost mode at the San Giorgio village in Manerba sul Garda, at the Acca Palace hotel in Milan, and at the Manta castle in Piedmont, in participation in a project of Fai (Italian Fund for the Environment). "We give them to the structures for free - explains Enrico Benedetti, of Social Green Mobility Srl - and we earn through the tourist who rents them by paying from our app. We take 70 percent, the structure 20, and 10 percent goes to routine maintenance assistance".

Finally, the idea of "Qui! Bycicle Parking", a project still to be implemented, to create parking spaces tailored to e-bikes and also anti-theft, thanks to a stall made of arches and with a built-in padlock mechanism. The architect Ettore Schioppa explains: "A rope that is extracted from the frame of the bike keeps it tied, with a spring mechanism, inside the arch of the stall, which could be placed, for example, in front of supermarkets, where one could unlock only with the supermarket card".

"Pedroni Race", on the other hand, born from "Pedroni Cycles" is about to produce, in the spring, also the electric version of the muscle bikes that it has launched on the enduro racing market, they will cost between 7 and 12 thousand euros.
