Pronti, partenza .... VIA!!!

La Gialla Cycling is the flagship event of the schedule of sporting happenings that take place during the IBF Italian Bike Festival. Now in its third edition, La Gialla Cycling is renewed and offers a format for this cycling event that blends perfectly with the participatory spirit that characterizes the event.

La Gialla Cycling's objective for 2024 will be to encourage "slow cycling" with less exasperated competitive spirit. This represents an interesting model for experiencing cycling combined with the discovery of the area and its peculiarities, including gastronomic ones. For this reason there will be various refreshment points along the routes which will be real corners of taste where you can savor the delicacies of the area.

The now famous departure from the International Track of the Misano World Circuit remains confirmed with two road routes "Il Corto" and "Il Lungo", and two gravel routes "Il Morbido" and "Il Tosto". However, Gialla Cycling does not lose its roots and maintains its competitive side by making a timed section available (Montefiore Conca climb from the Pedrosa side) for runners who don't want to lose the taste of the challenge!

For those who want to take part in a ride within everyone's reach, La Gialla Family is offered and like every year, there will be no shortage of races dedicated to the youth sector.

While waiting to savor live the great emotions of the Tour de France and ride with the amazing Claudio Chiappucci, this week we offer you the book by Philippe Bouvet and Frédérique Galametz with a preface by Eddie Merckx.

"The Tour de France, in this modern cycling world, with a calendar of at least 3 races held per day in every part of the Earth, remains the only race where a stage victory can truly change a rider's career" (cyclinside.it , 2018). 2019 marks the centenary of the "yellow jersey", awarded for the first time to Grenoble on 19 July 1919.

That day a myth was born, inextricably linked to the Tour de France, the cycling race second in terms of popularity and media visibility, only to the Giro of Italy. The book officially celebrates this anniversary by telling the history of the Tour: competitors and protagonists, portraits of all the winners of the yellow jersey, sporting and backstage anecdotes, records, rankings, statistics.

The very rich photographic apparatus, taken from the historical archives of the Tour and from the main French sports newspaper "L'Équipe", makes this book precious.
