The 2013 "Giro d'Italia " stops in Gabicce Mare for a spectacular time trial up to Saltara! Colombari: " For us all... an incredible opportunity for visibility"

The news was in the air but finally .. it has become official. Il Giro d'Italia 2013 will stop in Gabicce on May 11th for a spectacular time trial of 55 km up to Saltara.

The " Carovana rosa" i.e. the pink caravan , (as it is called in Italy) will leave from Naples on May 4th and end the tour in Brescia on May26th. The 21 stops in 23 days (two days off ) will be all in Italy except for one (the repeatedly announced stop in France, on the Col du Galibier). The ingredients to make a race unique are all there: from the race against the clock to the hardest, but most spectacular mountain.

The start will be in the south, then, after the prologue and the time trial on the second day, there will be an uphill finish (in Serra San Bruno) already in the fourth stage. The first week, therefore, will be mostly for sprinters and, after that, the time trial Gabicce Saltara , well ... great show is guaranteed !

Die Nachricht war in der Luft, und nun ist sie endlich offiziell geworden. Am 11. Mai 2013 wird "der Giro" eine Etappe in Gabicce Mare für ein spektakuläres Zeitrennen von 55 km bis Saltara machen. Die "rosa Karawane" wird von Neapel am 4. Mai losfahren, und in Brescia am 26. Mai die Tour beenden.

Die 21 Stationen in 23 Tagen (mit nur zwei Ruhetagen), sind alle bis auf eine in Italien vorgesehen. Die einzige Station im Ausland wird in Frankreich sein, und zwar - wie schon mehrmals angekündigt -im Col du Galibier). Die Zutaten für ein unvergessliches Rennen sind alle da:

vom Zeitrennen bis zum härtesten aber höchst spektakulären Gebirgesrennen. Der Start ist in Suditalien und sofort nach dem Prolog und dem Zeitfahren am zweiten Tag, erfolgt eine Bergetappe (in Serra San Bruno). Die erste Woche, ist also, vor allem für Sprinter und dann kommt das Zeitrennen Gabicce Saltara, das große Show verspricht!

La notizia era nell'aria ma finalmente è arrivata la tanto attesa ufficialità. Il Giro d’Italia 2013 farà tappa a Gabicce il prossimo 11 maggio per una spettacolare tappa a crono di 55 km fino a Saltara. La partenza della carovana rosa partirà da Napoli il 4 maggio per finire a Brescia il 26. Le 21 tappe in 23 giorni (due queli di riposo) prevedono un solo sconfinamento all’estero (quello più volte annunciato in Francia, sul Col du Galibier). Gli ingredienti per farne una corsa di tutto rispetto ci sono: dalle corse contro il tempo fino alla montagna più spettacolare e dura. Si parte a sud per proporre, dopo il prologo e la cronosquadre del secondo giorno, un arrivo in salita (a Serra San Bruno) già nella quarta tappa. Una prima settimana, però, sostanzialmente per velocisti e poi la cronometro di Gabicce Saltara che promette grande spettacolo!

Es herrscht große Begeisterung in Gabicce Mare, Herr Curti, Bürgermeister der Stadt, der gestern bei der Präsentation des Giro in Mailand war, ist sehr zufrieden, sowie Roberto Colombari, Alexanders Direktor , der so sagt: "Es ist ein tolles Ergebnis für das Gebiet - wir danken dem Bürgermeister, für die Entschlossenheit, mit der er dieses großes Ziel befolgt hat - Gabicce wird noch einmal Exzellenz in der Welt der Fahrräder, des Radfahrens und des Bike Tourismus sein". "Der Giro" wird noch einmal durch den Park San Bartolo fahren. Unsere schöne Landschaft und Umgebung wird im TV weltweit gesehen! Es wird ein unvergessliches Erlebnis für das ganze Wochenende. Mit Bezug auf Sichtbarkeit und Werbung ...es ist eine Chance, die wir alle bestens ausnutzen sollen."

C'è grande soddisfazione a Gabicce, in primis il Sindaco Curti (presente ieri alla presentazione del Giro a Milano), ma anche Roberto Colombari dell'Hotel Alexander che commenta: "E' un grande risultato per il territorio - ringraziamo il Sindaco per la determinazione con cui ha inseguito questo grande obiettivo  - per una volta ancora Gabicce sarà una eccellenza del mondo della bici, del ciclismo e quindi anche del cicloturismo". La tappa di crono individuale passerà ancora per il San Bartolo. "In mondovisione le nostre bellezze paesaggistiche e ambientali. Sarà uno spettacolo straordinario per tutto il weekend. In termini di visibilità, si tratta di una promozione che dobbiamo tutti quanti sfruttare al massimo" .
