Sei piste ciclabili a Segrate diventano altrettante linee di una Ciclopolitana - contraddistinta da fermate, colori e segnaletica - volta a migliorare i collegamenti tra i principali quartieri della cittadina nel Milanese per chi viaggia su due ruote. Nata parafrasando il concetto di metropolitana, l'idea si è concretizzata in due mesi di lavoro: "In attesa del prolungamento della linea M4 che arriverà fino a Segrate, abbiamo pensato di creare una sorta di metrò superficiale - spiega Paolo Micheli, sindaco di Segrate - Ma al posto delle rotaie ci sono le piste ciclabili o brevi tratti su strade in Zona 30 e al posto dei treni ci sono le biciclette".
Come tutte le metropolitane del mondo, ogni linea segue percorsi diversi con tanto di fermate che si intersecano tra loro e a ognuna è stato assegnato un colore specifico: "C'è la linea verde che collega i parchi Europa, Centroparco, Alhambra; quella viola che va dall'ospedale San Raffaele-Redecesio a Lavanderie, passando per Milano 2, e quella azzurra che collega San Felice-Linate attraverso Tregarezzo, Novegro e l'Idroscalo - racconta il primo cittadino - Oppure un esempio più pratico: chi abita nel quartiere Vecchia Olghia di Rovagnasco e deve prendere un treno del Passante alla stazione, basterà che pedali lungo la linea gialla in direzione centro".
I percorsi sono stati studiati per raggiungere servizi e punti nevralgici dei quartieri di Segrate in modo sicuro, economico e sostenibile: "Le piste, già preesistenti, sono ideali per il transito delle due ruote in entrambe le direzioni di guida, la bicicletta non comporta spese, se non quella iniziale e di manutenzione, e ciò che è più confortante per l'ambiente sono le emissioni zero del mezzo - aggiunge Micheli - Ogni percorso, poi, è dotato di segnaletica orizzontale e verticale, anche se in fase di completamento in alcuni tratti, che garantisce spostamenti precisi e veloci".
La Ciclopolitana vuole essere anche un'opera di sensibilizzazione all'uso delle due ruote, ma anche un modo per promuovere il territorio: "Con la collaborazione dei segratesi si può pensare di aggiungere altre linee e fornire a visitatori, lavoratori e studenti una mappa fisica di tutti i collegamenti - spiega il sindaco - Il fine sarebbe quello di sviluppare anche il turismo in bicicletta, installando cartelli informativi lungo i percorsi volti a segnalare edifici storici, parchi e attività commerciali presenti nella nostra città".

The Ciclopolitana also wants to be a work of raising awareness of the use of two wheels, but also a way to promote the territory: "With the collaboration of the Segratesi, it is possible to think of adding other lines and providing visitors, workers and students with a physical map of all connections - explains the mayor - The aim would be to develop tourism by bicycle, installing information signs along the routes aimed at indicating historic buildings, parks and commercial activities in our city ".
