Il nome è già uno slogan e un programma. 

Acronimo di 'Mobilità urbana vivibile e tecnologica' e muoviti in dialetto barese.

Il progetto di mobilità sostenibile negli spostamenti casa- scuola e casa- lavoro che da settembre coinvolgerà oltre 5mila cittadini. La sperimentazione promossa dal Comune di Bari e candidata agli incentivi di green economy previsti dal collegato ambientale  è stata finanziata dal ministero dell'Ambiente con 1,2 milioni di euro.

La somma stanziata servirà a pagare i 'buoni mobilità' per lavoratori, studenti, dipendenti universitari. Si tratta di consegnare un bonus fatto di sconti per l'acquisto di biciclette e di abbonamenti al trasporto pubblico a ogni lavoratore che sceglierà di lasciare l'auto a casa e di muoversi con bici, bus o auto condivisa. 

Per ridurre traffico, consumo di carburante e inquinamento.
 

A Bari ogni giorno si muovono per attività di lavoro e studio 207.040 persone.

 E la percentuale di spostamenti motorizzati si attesta al 76 per cento: soltanto una persona su quattro utilizza mezzi alternativi all'automobile. L'obiettivo del progetto Muvt è invece arrivare a ridurre del 26 per cento il numero di spostamenti motorizzati.

Grazie alla partnership con Università e Politecnico si lavorerà sulla popolazione studentesca di 60mila unità mediante l'istituzione di una card che permetterà di accedere a buoni mobilità e sui 2.500 dipendenti delle due università con incentivi al trasporto collettivo, in primis il car pooling, e al trasporto pubblico su ferro e gomma. Per aziende private e ordini professionali, invece, sarà fatta entro due mesi una call pubblica per elaborare piani di mobilità per dipendenti e iscritti.
 

Ikea, Decathlon e Amiu si sono già dette interessate. Il progetto vero e proprio partirà in autunno, durerà due anni e coinvolgerà circa 5mila persone. Aziende ed enti, attraverso il mobility manager nominato al proprio interno, saranno gli intermediari per l'accesso alle agevolazioni. Tutto sarà coordinato attraverso una piattaforma informatica su cui verranno immessi e registrati i dati. Perché - spiegano dal Comune di Bari - è necessario controllare che gli sconti per l'acquisto delle bici o dei biglietti per i bus siano effettivamente utilizzati per gli spostamenti casa-lavoro.
