Le maglie del Giro

Il Giro d’Italia 103, organizzato da RCS Sport / La Gazzetta dello Sport ed in programma dal 9 al 31 maggio 2020, ha le sue Maglie Ufficiali. Per l’edizione 2020 della Corsa Rosa, le Maglie prodotte da Manifattura Valcismon – col famoso marchio dello scorpione, Castelli, che ne ha curato anche il design e i particolari – sono realizzate con tessuti in fibre di poliestere riciclati.

Con 102 anni di storia, la Maglia Rosa 103 del Giro d’Italia guarda chiaramente al futuro. Per la prima volta in assoluto durante un Grand Tour, le Maglie leader saranno realizzate in tessuti Eco-sostenibili, prodotti dall’azienda Sitip attraverso processi e tessuti a minor impatto ambientale e ottenuti con tessuti con fibre di poliestere riciclati – certificati GRS (Global Recycled Standard). I tessuti sono derivanti principalmente da bottiglie di plastica, all’insegna dei princìpi e delle politiche di economia circolare.

Da un punto di vista delle prestazioni, le Maglie offrono al leader delle rispettive classifiche l’equipaggiamento più leggero, aerodinamico e ad alte prestazioni disponibile. I tocchi di design di Castelli si esprimono al meglio nella nuova grafica che richiama la forma del Trofeo Senza Fine, con i loghi del Giro d’Italia in gomma rialzati sulle maniche e Amore Infinito stampato sul retro della tasca.

I tessuti con fibre di poliestere riciclati saranno utilizzati non solo per le Maglie utilizzate in gara ma anche per le repliche ufficiali delle Maglie leader di Castelli.

The Giro d'Italia 103, organized by RCS Sport / La Gazzetta dello Sport and scheduled from 9 to 31 May 2020, has its official jerseys. For the 2020 edition of the Corsa Rosa, the sweaters produced by Manifattura Valcismon - with the famous scorpion brand, Castelli, who also took care of the design and details - are made with recycled polyester fiber fabrics.

With 102 years of history, the Giro d’Italia Pink Jersey 103 looks clearly to the future. For the first time ever during a Grand Tour, the leader Jerseys will be made of Eco-sustainable fabrics, produced by the Sitip company through processes and fabrics with a lower environmental impact and obtained with fabrics with recycled polyester fibers - GRS (Global Recycled certified) Standard). The fabrics are mainly derived from plastic bottles, in the name of circular economy principles and policies.

From a performance point of view, the Jerseys offer the leader of their respective rankings the lightest, most aerodynamic and high-performance equipment available. Castelli's design touches are best expressed in the new graphics that recall the shape of the Endless Trophy, with the rubberized Giro d'Italia logos raised on the sleeves and Infinite Love printed on the back of the pocket.

The fabrics with recycled polyester fibers will be used not only for the jerseys used in the race but also for the official replicas of Castelli's leading jerseys.
