Il vincitore del Giro d'Italia Ryder Hesjedal a Gabicce per provare la prossima tappa a crono del Giro 2013

Gabicce Mare riceve la visita del  vincitore del Giro d’Italia 2012 Ryder Hesjedal. Il canadese della Garmin, in periodo di preparazione intensiva in vista della prossima edizione della corsa rosa, ha voluto testare la prova a cronometro di 55 km Gabicce Mare – Saltara, la tanto attesa ottava tappa dell’edizione 2013 del Giro d’Italia.

Prima di iniziare il suo allenamento è stato ricevuto negli uffici del Comune dal Segretario Comunale Sandro Ricci che ha fatto le veci del Sindaco Curti (assente per un impegno di lavoro), Rossana Biagioni (responsabile ufficio stampa), Ivan Cecchini del Comitato di Tappa, Carlo Messersì, Presidente del Gruppo Ciclistico Gabicce Mare 2007, Alex Leonardi (Presidente del Ciclo Team Gabicce Mare), Massimo Cecchini (Presidente Velo Club Cattolica) e da Giacomo Monaldi e Giulia Pasini del Social Media Team. Consegnata al vincitore a sorpresa del Giro 2012, il primo canadese della storia della corsa, la maglia di Gabicce Mare città di tappa.

“So che questa sarà una delle tappe più spettacolari, importanti e delicate del prossimo Giro – ha commentato ai presenti Hesjedal – sono venuto a Gabicce per testare i materiali e conoscere nel dettaglio questo percorso che si presenta molto tecnico e impegnativo, soprattutto per la sua lunga distanza. Ci rivedremo qui tra meno di due mesi sperando di essere al top della forma e puntare ancora alla maglia rosa”. Dopo i saluti di rito, il campione è subito partito con il suo staff Garmin al seguito per percorrere la Panoramica attraversando il Parco Naturale San Bartolo. Nei prossimi giorni sono attese altre squadre e altri importanti campioni.

Gabicce Mare has been visited by the winner of the Tour of Italy 2012, Ryder Hesjedal. The Canadian of the Garmin team, in a period of intensive preparation for the next edition of the Giro, wanted to test the 55 km long time trial stage Gabicce - Saltara, the long-awaited eighth edition of the 2013 Giro d’Italia.

The winner of the 2012 Giro , the first Canadian in the history of the race, was awarded with the tricot of Gabicce Mare, stage town of the 2013 Giro.

“I know this will be one of the most spectacular, important and delicate stages of the next tour “- said Hesjedal - I came to Gabicce to test the materials and experience in detail the track, which is very technical and demanding, especially for its long distance. We will meet again here in less than two months hoping to be in top form for the “pink tricot” . After the customary greetings, the champion immediately rode off with his staff to test the Panoramica road, across the San Bartolo Natural Park. In the coming days , other teams and important champions are expected in Gabicce Mare .
