The figurines are born in the second half of the nineteenth century, when the competition pushes the consumer products to invent ways to make themselves known to retain consumers. More or less at the same time, the bicycle is becoming a vehicle of mass transport, as an icon of modernity that pushes the world towards the new era of industrialization.

It seems almost natural that the two roads were destined to intersect: the first advertising tools, in the name of a first push towards corporate social responsibility, discovered the bicycle as a vehicle that points straight to the future and offers democracy.

«The freedom of pedaling, running, traveling, trespassing, overcoming and overcoming, because in the saddle you are never alone, there is always someone to confront and accompany each other. And then also the freedom to dream, fantasize, invent ", explains Marco Pastonesi, sports journalist who has always loved the bicycle, who curated the exhibition" Bici davvero! "With Francesca Fontana! Velocipedi, figurines and other stories "going on in Modena at the Figurine Museum (until April 13th 2020): an original journey through the two centuries of bicycle history told through 350 pieces including albums and figurines, but also barber calendars, magazines .

Including razor blades that this time see Gino Bartali - the cyclist "born not to lose who didn't know how to lose" - beat Fausto Coppi, "born to win, but who didn't know how to win: he doesn't raise his arms to the sky, he hardly smiles, he has the look of a dying deer ", underlines Pastonesi.

From the section that shows the illustrations to teach how to ride a bicycle, the new means of locomotion that distorts transport, to postcards, stamps and images, from the first stickers to the part dedicated to safety in the face of the first bikes in circulation - "Warning, cyclists around "- that remains a very timely warning in front of the silent massacre that sees in Italy almost a cyclist dying on the roads every day.

From the icons of clothing, which sees women's clothing undergo the greatest transformations in concert with the emancipation that the two wheels pull the sprint up to prize competitions combined with products, where the bicycle almost never fails among the prizes. To finish with the figurines of the great champions and the followers, the most human and "proletarian" part of cycling, figures that in the post-war period give back to Italy the enthusiasm and the desire to dream (and to win), with a section entirely dedicated in Coppi, of which in 2019 the centenary of the birth occurs and in 2020 the sixtieth of death.

There is teaching, there is the race, the newspapers that flutter, the water bottles, there is a means that makes you have fun and travel, overcoming your limits: a true act of love that makes you understand what it was the bicycle in its history. And the great value that still today projects the two wheels towards the future.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

For our very sensitve to the cold friends we recommend trying the Nalini XWarm Jacket.

This is a thermal jacket that is particularly suitable for protecting the cyclist from cold winter temperatures: its wool-blend fabric allows it to exit on the road with temperatures ranging from -2 ° C to 5 ° C.

Not only protection from cold climates, but also on the road: it will be impossible not to notice the high reflective potential of XWarm Jacket.

Ventilation side openings adjustable with zip and 3 asymmetrical back pockets + new construction 4th invisible pocket in waterproof fabric for phone or other electronic items with stargate blue reflex logos.

Bike chef

He cooked the world's "highest" carbonara on Everest at 5,174 meters above sea level. He replicated it in Lapland.

And then many other specialties prepared in the most disparate conditions from New Zealand, to the Atlas mountains in Morocco, from India to Nepal. In addition to being a "lazy adventurer", Cristiano Sabatini, 48, from Orvieto, calls himself a "Bike chef", a brand printed on his work clothes and "living" on the Facebook page of the same name where he tells and shows his adventures from cook globetrotter riding his bicycle.

Next trip to April in Peru, La Rinconada mission, the highest city in the world.

But that of Sabatini is also a story of working creativity: after a few years spent successfully managing a restaurant in the Viterbo area, in 2001 he decided to drop everything to start cooking at home, catering and going to the homes of those who called him.

In a few years he has also conquered the kitchens and palates of the VIPs of the cinema, and has even managed to let his dishes be tasted even by Robert De Niro.

Eugenio Comicini and Donatella Conzatti, senators who are in the ranks of the Democratic Party and Italia Viva respectively, presented an amendment that provides a bonus of up to 500 euros - exploitable thanks to the assignment of an electronic card with a nominal amount - for the purchase of a bicycle or an electric scooter up to 1 kw of power.
How could you get the bonus? The amendment explains that the sum would be achievable and spendable after a taxpayer proves that he has scrapped his polluting car, that is, a vehicle class euro 3 (or earlier). To give greater impetus to the measure, it was decided not to put any income constraint: no ISEE declaration to present and to be screened. Among other things, the bike bonus would not constitute taxable income.
Of course the proposal is much more attractive for those who live in urban centers, that is to say for those people who live in cities equipped with cycle paths and who often move without using a car (perhaps kept constantly in the garage) to avoid traffic, expensive parking lots and other headaches typical of populous centers.
AMENDMENT AT SIGNATURE M5S - There is a second amendment to the Budget Law that could give incentives and good news to bike lovers. In this case the proposal was signed by Marco Pellegrini, senator of the 5 Star Movement. In this case we speak of a 30% contribution (including VAT) on the purchase of a traditional bicycle or with assisted pedaling or an electric cargo bike.In detail, so far, the proposal has been formulated as follows: a contribution of up to 50 euros if you buy a new bicycle; a contribution of up to 100 euros if you buy a new cargo bike; a contribution of up to 200 euros if you buy a new electric pedal assisted bicycle (or an electric cargo bike) that can reach 25 km / h speed.
The funds allocated to incentives, in this case, would not be unlimited but given according to the chronological order of the applications presented by those who would like to benefit from the benefit. Once the available fund has been used up, the incentives themselves would also end.Of the proposals made regarding the possible bike bonus, we will know more about it shortly, when the 2020 maneuver will be definitively armored.

Within the program Christmas in Venaria Reale of the City of Venaria Reale, from 13 December 2019 (with the inauguration at 17:30) until 6 January 2020, at the Municipal Exhibition Hall in Via Andrea Mensa 34, the exhibition is sponsored by the Municipality of Venaria Reale.
In the first half of the twentieth century the bicycle, in addition to being one of the major means of transport for mobility, served artisans such as farriers, knife-grinders, barbers, tailors, ice-cream makers, to move around the area and carry out their activities directly "at home" or in the streets and squares of the various countries and cities. They were poor trades, children of a world that was also poor, like that of the Italian rural realities, in which everyday objects were used and repaired up to a limit of wear for which it was impossible to reuse them, at least for the purpose for which they were born (and often they were readjusted for other uses, born into new life).
The ehibition is a cross-section of Italian history, from the end of the nineteenth century until the sixties and has an educational and social value for those who will have the pleasure of visiting it. exhibition reveals, in all its drama, the effort and effort to solve the problems of everyday life of the past and start living again, with the sweat of one's work, a dignified existence in the difficult post-war periods of the first and second world wars.
An exhibition that brings to mind images of the past and guides youngsters in discovering how mobility and the use of bicycles, a simple means par excellence, were at the center of the lives of citizens of the past. Once upon a time there was the toy vendor and the mobile cinema, the sturdy mail carrier, the copper boiler repairer, the priest, the doctor in charge, the glassmaker, the tailor, the ice cream seller, the figurine seller who at Christmas he made the traveling crib.
All on two wheels with human traction: the bicycle.
The bicycles on display are the example of imagination and practicality, in their modifications and adaptations. In summary of the Made in Italy that makes us proudly famous in the world. Everything according to the need of the craftsman. The exhibition is further enriched by period photos in black and white, made by Gianni Segato, reconstructing the social and cultural environment in which the artisans and their bicycles moved.
"The aim of this exhibition is to enhance the ancient crafts and craftsmanship, demonstrating to young people how our grandparents through sacrifices, perseverance and professionalism have carried on the economy of the past," says Gennaro Ciotola, president of 296 Model Venaria association ».
Antonio Iorio (collector and entrepreneur), Aurelio Arese (curator of the exhibition), Claudio Macario, president of Pro Loco Altessano Venaria Reale and Gianni Segato, collaborator of the exhibition «We believe that today, taking inspiration from the past, we can give the start of a new way of doing entrepreneurship. We have set up an exhibition that exhibits unique and nowhere to be found pieces, but also and above all brings out the trades that each of them made possible. The enhancement of the details of each bicycle, with meticulous accessories that recall the craft of those who rode them, characterizes the preparation with great attention to detail ». The original idea is by the collector Antonio Iorio, who put on an extraordinary and precious initiative.
The Municipal Exhibition Hall will light up with history and emotions. A pleasant return to the past with a glance towards the future. The exhibition will be enriched by some wooden works, scale reproductions of bicycle models, made by model maker Riccardo Mantovan. The works that are unique pieces, created by creating and establishing the scale, design and construction of all the individual parts that make up the model.
The exhibition, with free admission, can be visited at the Municipal Exhibition Hall, via Mensa 34, at 10:00 - 12:30 and 15:00 - 18:00. Open Friday, December 13, 2019 at 15:00, with inauguration at 17:30. On December 25th and January 1st the exhibition will be closed. Last day of visit 6 January 2020.

RiDe

Smart Mobility, the startup that developed RiDe, continues its expansion.

At the base is the shared hybrid mobility service powered by the innovative RiDerBank, the portable rechargeable battery as big as a small bottle that allows the activation of vehicles in electric assisted mode.

The startup has developed a very simple model by identifying, in each municipality where the service is activated, the best combination for the placement of electric-assisted bikes and "virtual stations", areas of the municipal area that can be used as parking lots, displayed with the RiDe Hybrid Mobility app.

This model is combined with the innovative RiDerBank solution that allows you to unlock the electric mode of the bicycle, combining the advantage of very fast charging times with the possibility of being used to recharge other electronic devices as well.

RiDe therefore allows the user to choose whether and when to pedal thanks to the possibility of activating the electric-assisted mode (with a range of up to 20 km) simply by hooking the RiDerBank.
