Riportiamo un'interessantissima intervista fatta a Davide Cassani presente nella testata TUTTOBICIWEB

In una videoconferenza promossa da Federciclismo e Provincia di Parma, si è dibattuto di mobilità sostenibile e ciclabilità. L’evento dal titolo “Sviluppare gli spostamenti e le attività motorie con la bicicletta ed il turismo sportivo”, ha avuto come relatori il vicepresidente vicario della Federazione Ciclistica Italiana Daniela Isetti; il vicepresidente della Provincia di Parma Alessandro Garbasi; Davide Cassani, Direttore Tecnico delle Nazionali di ciclismo; Marco Pavarini, fondatore di Extragiro, Alessandro Massai, responsabile commerciale per l’Emilia Romagna dell’Istituto Credito Sportivo e l’ingegner Giovanni Maria Ferraris della Commissione Impianti della FCI.

All’introduzione del vicepresidente Isetti, che ha sottolineato come per Federciclismo sia importante collaborare con i propri interlocutori per favorire azioni di mobilità sostenibile e la ciclabilità, è seguito l’intervento di Davide Cassani: «Il periodo non è dei migliori ma il coronavirus ci ha fatto capire come sia importante ed utile la bicicletta. La bici è un mezzo economico, sicuro e che, in tragitti brevi, consente spostamenti più agili e veloci di una macchina» ha dichiarato il cittì azzurro, che ha poi proseguito: «Se ci fossero più biciclette sulle strade si ridurrebbero le macchine, e quindi anche l’inquinamento. Mi rendo conto che limitare l’uso degli automezzi potrebbe essere impopolare ma chi ci governa dovrebbe pensare anche alla nostra salute. Pedalare, anche solo per andare a fare la spesa, vuol dire ridurre la sedentarietà e quindi stare meglio».

Cassani, che ricopre anche la carica di presidente della azienda di promozione turistica della sua regione ha sottolineato come l’Emilia Romagna abbia puntato molto sul turismo sportivo e sull’accoglienza di cicloturisti con bike hotel, percorsi e servizi dedicati agli amanti della bicicletta.

Una analisi ancor più dettagliata del fenomeno turistico legato alla bicicletta è arrivata grazie a Marco Pavarini che ha evidenziato come il ciclismo sia uno sport popolare che accelera la notorietà di un territorio; come il turismo attivo e cicloturismo rappresentino una percentuale importante della spesa turistica in Italia. «Sono importantissime le informazioni che si danno perciò - ha rimarcato il fondatore di Extragiro – un ruolo di primissimo piano lo hanno le guide turistiche, oltre a chi accoglie l’ospite nelle strutture ricettive». Sul tema è intervenuto anche il vicepresidente Isetti che ha ricordato l’impegno di Federciclismo nella formazione di guide cicloturistiche.

Alessandro Massai ha contribuito al dibattito indicando con che modalità si può accedere al bando per il Credito Sportivo portando come esempio progetti per la creazione di piste ciclabili o ciclodromi. Infine, grazie all’ingegner Ferraris, i partecipanti alla conferenza hanno potuto riflettere su come il dialogo, la condivisione di idee e di progetti, la voglia di mettersi in gioco possa far sì che la bicicletta aiuti l’evoluzione della società.

In a videoconference promoted by Federciclismo and Provincia di Parma, sustainable mobility and cycling were discussed. The event entitled "Developing travel and motor activities with the bicycle and sports tourism", had the vice-president vicar of the Italian Cycling Federation Daniela Isetti as speakers; the Vice-President of the Province of Parma Alessandro Garbasi; Davide Cassani, Technical Director of the national cycling teams; Marco Pavarini, founder of Extragiro, Alessandro Massai, sales manager for Emilia Romagna of the Istituto Credito Sportivo and engineer Giovanni Maria Ferraris of the FCI's Plant Commission.

Davide Cassani's speech was followed by the introduction of Vice-President Isetti, who underlined how important it is for Federciclismo to collaborate with his interlocutors to promote sustainable mobility and cycling actions: «The period is not the best but the coronavirus made it clear how important and useful the bicycle is. The bike is an economical, safe means of transport which, in short journeys, allows more agile and faster movements than a car "said the blue city, who then continued:" If there were more bicycles on the roads, the cars would be reduced, and hence also pollution. I realize that limiting the use of vehicles could be unpopular but those who govern us should also think about our health. Pedaling, even just to go shopping, means reducing the sedentary lifestyle and therefore feeling better ».

Cassani, who also holds the position of president of the tourism promotion company in his region, underlined how Emilia Romagna has focused heavily on sports tourism and on the reception of cyclists with bike hotels, routes and services dedicated to bicycle lovers.

An even more detailed analysis of the tourist phenomenon linked to the bicycle came thanks to Marco Pavarini who highlighted that cycling is a popular sport that accelerates the reputation of a territory; how active tourism and cycle tourism represent an important percentage of tourist spending in Italy. "The information that is given is therefore very important - remarked the founder of Extragiro - a leading role is played by tourist guides, as well as those who welcome guests in accommodation". Vice-President Isetti also spoke on the issue, who recalled the commitment of Federciclismo in the formation of cycle tourism guides.

Alessandro Massai contributed to the debate by indicating how the call for the Credito Sportivo can be accessed, taking as an example projects for the creation of cycle paths or cycle tracks. Finally, thanks to engineer Ferraris, the conference participants were able to reflect on how dialogue, sharing ideas and projects, the desire to get involved can make the bicycle help the evolution of society.
