Nabico Roubaix Flow

Fondata nel 1972 con il nome di Nastri Bici Corsa, questa azienda italiana ha rischiato la chiusura poco più di un anno fa, mettendo in pericolo oltre 50 anni di attività e una filiera 100% Made in Italy. Grazie al supporto economico e alla visione imprenditoriale di Michela Fontana, ex co-proprietaria del rinomato marchio Cicli Olympia per 20 anni, l'azienda è riuscita a riprendersi, sviluppando e lanciando nuove linee di prodotti. Uno degli esempi più rappresentativi è il nastro manubrio Nabico Roubaix Flow, progettato per il ciclismo su strada.

Realizzato in PVC espanso, questo nastro è impermeabile, resistente ai raggi UV e facile da pulire. Durante il nostro test della versione Dots bianca (vedi articolo sottostante), abbiamo potuto apprezzarne la qualità e le caratteristiche tecniche.

La matassa è dotata di una banda adesiva 3M per una perfetta aderenza al manubrio. Inoltre, Nabico offre la possibilità di personalizzare grafiche e colori anche per piccole quantità, consentendo soluzioni estetiche e tecniche su misura.

Il Roubaix Flow rappresenta l'evoluzione stilistica del classico Roubaix Dots, caratterizzato da una tinta unita. La versione Flow introduce un motivo geometrico che sfuma dalla parte inferiore della piega fino alla zona delle leve, creando un effetto visivo distintivo e accattivante.

Oltre alle colorazioni già presenti nella gamma (Rame, Oro, Acqua Marina e Rosso), il Roubaix Flow è ora disponibile in tre nuove tonalità: Rosa, Bianco e Blu.

Founded in 1972 under the name Nastri Bici Corsa, this Italian company faced the risk of closure just over a year ago, jeopardizing over 50 years of activity and a 100% Made in Italy supply chain. Thanks to the financial support and entrepreneurial vision of Michela Fontana, former co-owner of the renowned Cicli Olympia brand for 20 years, the company managed to recover, developing and launching new product lines. One of the most representative examples is the Nabico Roubaix Flow handlebar tape, designed for road cycling.

Made from expanded PVC, this tape is waterproof, UV-resistant, and easy to clean. During our test of the white Dots version (see article below), we were able to appreciate its quality and technical features.

The roll is equipped with a 3M adhesive strip for perfect adherence to the handlebar. Additionally, Nabico offers the possibility to customize graphics and colors even for small quantities, allowing for tailored aesthetic and technical solutions.

The Roubaix Flow represents the stylistic evolution of the classic Roubaix Dots, which features a solid color. The Flow version introduces a geometric pattern that fades from the lower part of the bend towards the lever area, creating a distinctive and eye-catching visual effect.

In addition to the existing colors in the range (Copper, Gold, Aquamarine, and Red), the Roubaix Flow now comes in three new shades: Pink, White, and Blue.

 Come il telefonino infatti la bicicletta fu causa di interminabili discussioni, di grandi amori, di profonde avversioni e di leggi che ne limitavano l'utilizzo. Rivoluzionò retaggi culturali atavici sino a diventare il vessillo del movimento paritario femminile e il mezzo di un nuovo turismo non solo delle classi abbienti. 

Fu strumento militare, di spionaggio e insurrezionale, modella per i pittori e musa per gli scrittori, creò nuove forme di relazione che portarono alla nascita dei "Veloce club" e a uno sport nuovo che avrebbe scritto pagine epiche e partorito nuovi eroi.

 It revolutionized ancestral cultural legacies until it became the banner of the women's equal rights movement and the means of a new tourism not only for the wealthy classes.

 It was a military, espionage and insurrectional instrument, a model for painters and a muse for writers, it created new forms of relationship that led to the birth of the "Veloce clubs" and to a new sport that would write epic pages and give birth to new heroes.

 Da meccanico a elettrico in un clic: semplice, ma rivoluzionario. Clip è un e-bike converter portatile dal design minimalista, caratterizzato da un elegante telaio nero e pannelli laterali in alluminio spazzolato. Progettato a Brooklyn nel 2019 per i pendolari urbani, questo raffinato kit di conversione, dalla forma compatta e aerodinamica, è realizzato in alluminio e nylon ignifugo e integra batterie agli ioni di litio. Basta agganciarlo alla ruota anteriore della bicicletta per trasformare istantaneamente una comune bici in un'e-bike.

Leggero come un laptop, pesa appena 4 kg, si ripone comodamente in borsa e si ricarica in meno di un’ora. Ancora prima della sua produzione nel 2021, Clip ha conquistato un posto nella lista delle migliori invenzioni del 2020 della rivista Time. L'anno successivo, l’omonima startup fondata da Somnath Ray e Clem De Alcala è entrata nella prestigiosa lista delle World Changing Ideas di Fast Company. Con un miliardo di biciclette in circolazione in tutto il mondo, una soluzione così pratica ed economica ha un potenziale immenso: la versione Commuter (450 euro) offre una batteria da 96Wh con un'autonomia fino a 10 km, mentre la versione Explorer (550 euro) monta una batteria da 192Wh per percorrenze fino a 24 km.

Il team di sviluppo ha voluto un prodotto che potesse stare in bella vista sulla scrivania accanto al computer e che sembrasse parte dello stesso ecosistema. L'obiettivo era creare qualcosa di nuovo: una soluzione modulare e leggera, adatta a un'ampia fascia di pendolari urbani e facilmente rimovibile dopo ogni corsa. In questo modo, Clip non solo è protetto dai furti, ma diventa anche un accessorio perfetto per chi utilizza servizi di bike sharing. In pratica, è come avere una bici elettrica sempre nello zaino.

L’installazione è estremamente semplice: basta premere un bottone, allineare Clip sulla ruota anteriore, estendere i due piccoli bracci rossi intorno alla forcella e richiuderli per un fissaggio sicuro. Una volta montato, il sistema si attiva con la semplice pressione del pulsante rosso sul controller bluetooth wireless, fissato al manubrio tramite un anello di gomma.

Innovativo anche il sistema di frenata rigenerativa, attivabile con il pulsante bianco: quando si pedala in discesa, Clip recupera energia e ricarica la batteria, aumentando l'autonomia complessiva del dispositivo. Al termine dell’uso, il converter si sgancia facilmente tirando la leva che rilascia i morsetti e che, allo stesso tempo, funge da pratica impugnatura per il trasporto.

Alla base di questo ambizioso progetto c’è un tema sempre più centrale: la sostenibilità. Elettrificare una bicicletta con Clip significa ridurre drasticamente l’impatto ambientale rispetto a una e-bike tradizionale, generando meno rifiuti e riducendo l’impronta logistica di ben cinquanta volte rispetto a una bicicletta elettrica convenzionale.

Once mounted, the system activates with the simple press of the red button on the Bluetooth wireless controller, attached to the handlebar with a rubber ring.

Another innovative feature is the regenerative braking system, activated with the white button: when riding downhill, Clip recovers energy and recharges the battery, increasing the device's overall range. Once finished using it, the converter is easily detached by pulling the lever that releases the clamps, which also serves as a convenient carrying handle.

At the core of this ambitious project is an increasingly crucial theme: sustainability. Electrifying a bicycle with Clip significantly reduces the environmental impact compared to a traditional e-bike, generating less waste and reducing the logistical footprint by fifty times compared to a conventional electric bicycle.
