Specialized Tone nasce con la mission di proteggere i ciclisti che affrontano percorsi urbani, come spostarsi per andare a lavoro, fare commissioni e nel tempo libero passeggiate tranquille. La calzata dell’elmetto è rapida e ben stabilizzata, grazie al sistema di tenuta Headset SX con i cinghietti TriFix, che ne permettono una regolazione semplice e immediata.
Come per la maggior parte dei caschi, Tone è dotato della tecnologia collaudata MIPS, il sistema che consente un movimento da 10 a 15 mm in tutte le direzioni. Attraverso alcuni studi è stato evidenziato che questo movimento riduce le forze rotazionali trasmesse alla testa in caso di collisione.
