Cippo

E' una salita unica.
"Il Carpegna mi basta!" affermava il grande pantani.
Il Carpegna gli bastava perchè è una salita vera. 6 km di pura fatica. Un percorso che regala gioia e soddisfazione.
Si parte da Carpegna: il primo tratto è devastante! pendenze del 18/20% mettono subito a dura prova chiunque.
Dopo 400m la strada prosegue tenendo la sinistra e si entra nel muro più duro. Un tratto che continua a lasciare senza fiato, non un metro di riposo per i muscoli sicuramente provati dalla fatica, sebbene ci si trovi quasi all'inizio!In soccorso arriva un tratto decisamente più agevole che lascia spazio al recupero o a spingere per i più allenati.A 2,5km si arriva al Cippo. Qui verrete colpiti dalla bella scultura realizzata in memoria di Pantani e a fianco le sue parole narrano il suo attaccamento a questa ascesa."Si sente solo il tuo respiro"... la scritta a bordo strada esorta a soffermarsi sulla bellezza del silenzio in una natura incontaminata, dove solo l'affanno del ciclista è un suono in armonia con il canto della natura.Si sale su pendenze impegnative, costanti, nel sottobosco di una magica pineta. L'asfalto, impeccabile, vi sta portando nella vostra "Salita al cielo" come recitano i cartelli.Nel tratto finale la salita si inasprisce, diventa estenuante, ma poco dopo vi regalerà diverse centinaia di metri senza pendenza!Ed in questo paesaggio stupendo si giunge alla gigantografia del Pirata che segna la fine di questa meravigliosa esperienza ciclistica.
Non vi resta che contemplare "Il cielo del Pirata".




It 'a unique climb.

"The Carpegna is enough for me!" says Pantani.
Carpegna was enough because it is a real climb. 6 km of pure fatigue. A path that gives joy and satisfaction.
It starts from Carpegna: the first part is devastating! A slope of 18/20%.
After 400m the road continues with a very hard wall.
A trait that continues to leave you breathless, not a meter of rest for the muscles surely exhausted by their efforts, although you are almost at the beginning!
To the rescue comes a much easier stretch that gives way to recovery or to push for more trained.
At 2.5km you get to Cippo. Here you will be impressed by the beautiful sculpture created in memory of Pantani and alongside his words tell his attachment to this ascent.
"You only hear your breathing" ... the written roadside urges to dwell on the beauty of silence in a pristine nature, where only the anxiety of the rider is a sound in harmony with the song of nature.
It climbs up steep gradients, constants, in the undergrowth of a magical pine forest. The asphalt, impeccable, is leading you in your "Road to Heaven".
In the final stretch of the climb gets more difficult, it becomes exhausting, but after it will give you several hundred meters without slope!
In this wonderful landscape we reach the giant Pirate marking the end of this wonderful cycling experience.

We just have to contemplate "The sky of the Pirate."
