Vite di corsa

Uno straordinario e insolito racconto in cui lo sguardo dei celebri fotografi dell’agenzia Magnum Photos esplora il ciclismo, uno degli sport più popolari e amati di sempre.

Una storia per immagini che non si limita a testimoniare le gesta dei campioni e le grandi manifestazioni internazionali, Tour de France in primis, ma anche la quotidiana e sorprendente umanità di tutti coloro che ne sono in qualche modo coinvolti.

A differenza della tradizionale fotografia sportiva, le immagini qui raccolte - selezionate dall’enorme archivio della celebre agenzia americana, fondata a New York nel 1947 – raccontano il ciclismo attraverso la sensibilità e l’ironia di questi autori, in un percorso a tappe che parte dagli scatti di Robert Capa e arriva fino ai giorni nostri, attraverso l’obiettivo di Alex Majoli. Un racconto che indaga la dimensione umana di uno degli sport più seguiti dal grande pubblico, che va oltre le gesta sportive e svela le alchimie del ciclismo, l’unico sport, come ripeteva Gianni Mura, dove “chi fugge non è un vigliacco”.

An extraordinary and unusual story in which the gaze of the famous photographers of the Magnum Photos agency explores cycling, one of the most popular and loved sports of all time.

A story in images that does not limit itself to bearing witness to the exploits of the champions and the great international events, the Tour de France first and foremost, but also the daily and surprising humanity of all those who are in some way involved.

Unlike traditional sports photography, the images collected here - selected from the enormous archive of the famous American agency, founded in New York in 1947 - tell the story of cycling through the sensitivity and irony of these authors, in a journey in stages that starts from the shots of Robert Capa and reaches the present day, through the lens of Alex Majoli. 

A story that investigates the human dimension of one of the sports most followed by the general public, which goes beyond sporting exploits and reveals the alchemy of cycling, the only sport, as Gianni Mura repeated, where "those who flee are not cowards".

 Gboost ha rilasciato una versione aggiornata del suo kit di conversione per biciclette elettriche https://www.gboost.bike/. Il kit comprende un motore V8 del peso di circa 950 g (~2,09 libbre). Il motore è in grado di funzionare in modo silenzioso e l'azienda sostiene che sia il più silenzioso sul mercato. Il marchio francese suggerisce che l'installazione del kit sulla bicicletta normale richiede 10 minuti, con una singola vite che fissa il motore al telaio. Gboost has released an updated version of its electric bicycle conversion kit https://www.gboost.bike/. The kit includes a V8 engine weighing approximately 950 g (~2.09 lb). The French brand suggests that installing the kit on your regular bike takes 10 minutes, with a single screw securing the motor to the frame. Oggi abbiamo testato il percorso su cui pedaleremo insieme quest'estate in occasione delle tappe italiane del Tour de France.

Sicurezza e cicloturismo sportivo

 Ieri abbiamo partecipato al corso di "Sicurezza e cicloturismo sportivo" realizzato da il Corpo di Polizia Intercomunale di Riccione, Misano Adriatico Coriano e con il settore Turismo e Sport del Comune di Riccione, in collaborazione con  i consorzi Riccione Bike Hotels, Terrabici by Emilia-Romagna, Italy Bike Hotels e Apt Emilia-Romagna.

L'obiettivo di questa iniziativa è promuovere una formazione specifica per le guide cicloturistiche, sensibilizzandole sull'importanza della sicurezza stradale e sull'adozione di comportamenti autotutelanti sulla strada attraverso l'acquisizione di stili di guida corretti.

La formazione, dedicata alle guide cicloturistiche e alle associazioni sportive, mira a fornire professionisti consapevoli e formati, capaci di promuovere comportamenti corretti in sella alle due ruote e di identificare potenziali rischi stradali per la sicurezza individuale e di gruppo.

Yesterday we enjoyed the "Safety and sports cycling tourism" course organized by the Intermunicipal Police Corps of Riccione, Misano Adriatico and Coriano and with the Tourism and Sport sector of the Municipality of Riccione, in collaboration with the consortiums Riccione Bike Hotels, Terrabici by Emilia- Romagna, Italy Bike Hotels and Apt Emilia-Romagna.

The objective of this initiative is to promote specific training for cycle tour guides, raising their awareness of the importance of road safety and the adoption of self-protective behavior on the road through the acquisition of correct driving styles.

The training, dedicated to cycle tourism guides and sports associations, aims to provide aware and trained professionals, capable of promoting correct behavior while riding two wheels and identifying potential road risks for individual and group safety.

Giro d'Italia nelle Marche

 Ancora una volta le Marche sono una delle 21 perle del Giro d’Italia, alla sua 107° edizione, che ha appena svelato il suo percorso 2024, nella bella cornice del Festival dello sport di Trento.

Per le Marche si tratta di una sola frazione ma che saprà rimanere nella memoria dei ciclisti, incastonata in una seconda settimana dove sarà dura tirare fiato. Si tratta della Martinsicuro - Fano, frazione che sarà di 183 km e che i ciclisti del Giro d’Italia affronteranno nella 12° giornata di corse, il giovedì 16 maggio 2024.

Tra l’altro dopo 4 tappe movimentate da salite aperte dall’arrivo a Prati di Tivo. Ma anche in questa giornata di Giro, i ciclisti non potranno respirare perché saranno numerosi i trabocchetti posizionati lungo tutto il tracciato disegnato da Mauro Vegni, rendendo la corsa rosa più dura perché non si potrà mai abbassare l’attenzione e presenti anche in questa frazione. A rendere la vita difficile ai ciclisti, infatti, ci saranno gli strappi delle colline marchigiane, uno dietro l’altro, fin quasi dall’inizio.

Si parte infatti, dall’abruzzese Martinsicuro e pochi km dopo, seguendo la costa si entrerà subito nelle marche toccando San Benedetto del Tronto, Pedaso, Porto San Giorgio, Porto Sant’Elpidio. Questi 55 km sono gli unici pianeggianti dell’intera frazione che, a questo punto, vede i corridori entrare e dover affrontare continui strappi e saliscendi fino al termine della giornata e cioè per 128 km.

Si va, infatti, verso Montecosaro, Montelupone, Recanati, Osimo, Monti, Monsano, Ostra, La Croce, Mondolfo, San Costanzo e l’ultima decina di km più pianeggiante verso Fano. E’ una tappa che ben si presta a più interpretazioni: una fuga da lontano che potrebbe prendere piede con un gruppetto corridori che non fanno impensierire la maglia rosa, ed arrivare a traguardo oppure ripresa a tempo debito per far scattare qualche singolo o coppia sulle ultime creste.

Non è da escludere però, anche qui una possibile volata perché se la fuga non è tanto distante, prima del traguardo ci sarebbero i km utili per riprendere le lepri e lanciarsi a tutta velocità verso l’arrivo, facendo ovviamente i conti con le gambe stanche.

Una giornata tutta da vivere e imprevedibile, che inizierà nel villaggio di partenza di Martinsicuro, tra foto e autografi dei campioni, la festa del passaggio della carovana pubblicitaria del Giro lungo il tracciato ad anticipare i ciclisti e terminerà a Fano andando a scoprire i brividi del traguardo e i giochi e le attrazioni del villaggio sponsor.

In fact, we start from Martinsicuro in Abruzzo and a few kilometers later, following the coast, we will immediately enter the Marches, touching San Benedetto del Tronto, Pedaso, Porto San Giorgio, Porto Sant'Elpidio. These 55 km are the only flat ones of the entire section which, at this point, sees the runners entering and having to face continuous ups and downs until the end of the day, i.e. for 128 km.

In fact, you go towards Montecosaro, Montelupone, Recanati, Osimo, Monti, Monsano, Ostra, La Croce, Mondolfo, San Costanzo and the last ten or so flatter km towards Fano. It is a stage that lends itself well to multiple interpretations: a breakaway from afar that could take hold with a small group of riders who do not cause concern for the pink jersey, and reach the finish line or restart in due time to trigger some singles or pairs on the last ridges.

However, a possible sprint cannot be ruled out here too because if the breakaway isn't that far away, before the finish line there would be useful km to catch up with the hares and launch at full speed towards the finish line, obviously having to deal with tired legs. .
