Giro d'Italia nelle Marche

 Ancora una volta le Marche sono una delle 21 perle del Giro d’Italia, alla sua 107° edizione, che ha appena svelato il suo percorso 2024, nella bella cornice del Festival dello sport di Trento.

Per le Marche si tratta di una sola frazione ma che saprà rimanere nella memoria dei ciclisti, incastonata in una seconda settimana dove sarà dura tirare fiato. Si tratta della Martinsicuro - Fano, frazione che sarà di 183 km e che i ciclisti del Giro d’Italia affronteranno nella 12° giornata di corse, il giovedì 16 maggio 2024.

Tra l’altro dopo 4 tappe movimentate da salite aperte dall’arrivo a Prati di Tivo. Ma anche in questa giornata di Giro, i ciclisti non potranno respirare perché saranno numerosi i trabocchetti posizionati lungo tutto il tracciato disegnato da Mauro Vegni, rendendo la corsa rosa più dura perché non si potrà mai abbassare l’attenzione e presenti anche in questa frazione. A rendere la vita difficile ai ciclisti, infatti, ci saranno gli strappi delle colline marchigiane, uno dietro l’altro, fin quasi dall’inizio.

Si parte infatti, dall’abruzzese Martinsicuro e pochi km dopo, seguendo la costa si entrerà subito nelle marche toccando San Benedetto del Tronto, Pedaso, Porto San Giorgio, Porto Sant’Elpidio. Questi 55 km sono gli unici pianeggianti dell’intera frazione che, a questo punto, vede i corridori entrare e dover affrontare continui strappi e saliscendi fino al termine della giornata e cioè per 128 km.

Si va, infatti, verso Montecosaro, Montelupone, Recanati, Osimo, Monti, Monsano, Ostra, La Croce, Mondolfo, San Costanzo e l’ultima decina di km più pianeggiante verso Fano. E’ una tappa che ben si presta a più interpretazioni: una fuga da lontano che potrebbe prendere piede con un gruppetto corridori che non fanno impensierire la maglia rosa, ed arrivare a traguardo oppure ripresa a tempo debito per far scattare qualche singolo o coppia sulle ultime creste.

Non è da escludere però, anche qui una possibile volata perché se la fuga non è tanto distante, prima del traguardo ci sarebbero i km utili per riprendere le lepri e lanciarsi a tutta velocità verso l’arrivo, facendo ovviamente i conti con le gambe stanche.

Una giornata tutta da vivere e imprevedibile, che inizierà nel villaggio di partenza di Martinsicuro, tra foto e autografi dei campioni, la festa del passaggio della carovana pubblicitaria del Giro lungo il tracciato ad anticipare i ciclisti e terminerà a Fano andando a scoprire i brividi del traguardo e i giochi e le attrazioni del villaggio sponsor.

But even on this day of the Giro, cyclists will not be able to breathe because there will be numerous pitfalls positioned along the entire route designed by Mauro Vegni, making the pink race harder because you will never be able to lower your attention and which are also present in this fraction. Making life difficult for cyclists, in fact, will be the hills of the Marche region, one after the other, almost from the start.

In fact, we start from Martinsicuro in Abruzzo and a few kilometers later, following the coast, we will immediately enter the Marches, touching San Benedetto del Tronto, Pedaso, Porto San Giorgio, Porto Sant'Elpidio. These 55 km are the only flat ones of the entire section which, at this point, sees the runners entering and having to face continuous ups and downs until the end of the day, i.e. for 128 km.

In fact, you go towards Montecosaro, Montelupone, Recanati, Osimo, Monti, Monsano, Ostra, La Croce, Mondolfo, San Costanzo and the last ten or so flatter km towards Fano. It is a stage that lends itself well to multiple interpretations: a breakaway from afar that could take hold with a small group of riders who do not cause concern for the pink jersey, and reach the finish line or restart in due time to trigger some singles or pairs on the last ridges.

However, a possible sprint cannot be ruled out here too because if the breakaway isn't that far away, before the finish line there would be useful km to catch up with the hares and launch at full speed towards the finish line, obviously having to deal with tired legs. .

a day to be experienced and unpredictable, which will begin in the starting village of Martinsicuro, among photos and autographs of the champions, the celebration of the passage of the Giro advertising caravan along the route to anticipate the cyclists and will end in Fano discovering the thrills of finish line and the games and attractions of the sponsoring village.
