Welcome to Cartoceto!!!

Cartoceto is an Italian town of 7 949 inhabitants in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche region. Cartoceto is located in the lower Metauro valley on the left bank of the river, close to the hills surrounding the valley, at an altitude of 235 m above sea level.

In the historical center of Cartoceto suggestive is Piazza Garibaldi, the former market square, in which stands the Palazzo del Popolo, of fourteenth-century origin, topped by the small clock tower. Also in the building there is an arch, an ancient entrance to the castle once equipped with a drawbridge, the inhabited area retains the original herringbone plan with narrow alleys and steps along the slopes of the hill.
