La certificazione "bike friendly"

 Andare al lavoro in bicicletta è un’abitudine sempre più diffusa e le aziende stesse cercano di promuoverla. Proprio per premiare quelle che più s’impegnano sul fronte della mobilità interna sostenibile fa il suo esordio in Italia la certificazione Fiab “Azienda Bike Friendly” (Cycle Friendly Employer).

La prima è stata consegnata a Sacbo-Società per l’Aeroporto Civile di Bergamo Orio al Serio.

La Federazione Italiana Ambiente e Bicicletta è membro del consorzio, coordinato da Europen Cyclist Federation, che ha ideato il primo e unico standard volontario del Vecchio Continente per imprese “bike friendly”. Si basa su un protocollo applicato ora in 16 Paesi europei, il quale prevede modalità di valutazione omogenee per aree funzionali:

• informazione
• comunicazione
• movimentazione dei dipendenti
• coordinamento e organizzazione
• strutture e servizi a sostegno della ciclabilità
• gestione dei parcheggi come misura complementare
• afflusso dei clienti

Al termine dell’audit, si rilascia una certificazione valida per tre anni; sono previsti, poi, l’obbligo di rendicontare annualmente le attività aziendali e l’opportunità di chiedere una rivalutazione qualora il progetto di ciclabilità venga innovato.

Si riconoscono, così, ufficialmente le realtà che si contraddistinguono per aver creato un ambiente di lavoro favorevole all’utilizzo delle due ruote. Tra le varie misure e politiche considerate, due sono i requisiti indispensabili per accedere al percorso: 

• la nomina del “mobility/bike manager” 
• la possibilità di accedere e sostare con le biciclette nelle sedi. 

Sono fissati tre livelli crescenti di merito: bronzo, argento e oro. Alle aziende con meno di dieci dipendenti è dedicato lo stemma blu.

Going to work by bicycle is an increasingly widespread habit and companies themselves try to promote it. Precisely to reward those who are most committed to sustainable internal mobility, the Fiab certification "Bike Friendly Company" (Cycle Friendly Employer) makes its debut in Italy.

The first was delivered to Sacbo-Società for the Bergamo Orio al Serio Civil Airport.

The Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation is a member of the consortium, coordinated by the Europen Cyclist Federation, which created the first and only voluntary standard of the Old Continent for “bike friendly” companies. It is based on a protocol now applied in 16 European countries, which provides for homogeneous evaluation methods for functional areas:

• information
• communication
• employee movement
• coordination and organization
• structures and services to support cycling
• parking management as a complementary measure
• influx of customers

At the end of the audit, a certificate valid for three years is issued; then there is the obligation to report annually the company activities and the opportunity to ask for a revaluation if the cycling project is innovated.

In this way, the realities that stand out for having created a work environment favorable to the use of two wheels are officially recognized. Among the various measures and policies considered, there are two essential requirements to access the path:

• the appointment of the "mobility / bike manager"
• the possibility to access and park bicycles in the premises.

There are three increasing levels of merit: bronze, silver and gold. The blue emblem is dedicated to companies with fewer than ten employees.
