Una start-up norvegese ha messo a punto un sistema con cui cambiare facilmente “pelle” ai pneumatici in tutta sicurezza; ora è possibile in una manciata di secondi passare dall’asfalto allo sterrato, a neve e ghiaccio con la bici .

ReTyre è un sistema modulare di pneumatici con battistrada intercambiabili, “Skins”, dotato di una tecnologia brevettata e integrata di zip-on, che permette di adattare il battistrada alle esigenze del momento in pochi secondi. Il sistema si compone di due moduli, ovvero pneumatico base reTyre One, gomma stradale veloce e scorrevole con tecnologia zip-on integrata, e i reTyre Skins, battistrada collegabili alla zip, progettati per diverse condizioni stradali.
Ad oggi sono disponibili 4 varianti di Skin: invernale chiodato leggero, pesante chiodato per ghiaccio, trail e gravel/multiterrain.

La copertura base si comporta come qualsiasi classico pneumatico , mentre le cerniere integrate offrono le funzionalità aggiuntive per le diverse superfici da attraversare. La terza generazione del sistema beneficia della tecnologia zip-on perfezionata con cerniere in acciaio inossidabile uniche nel loro genere, la nuova tecnologia Skin per rivestimenti ultrasottili e resistenti, mescole di gomma migliorate e testate in diversi ambienti difficili.
La validità del sistema reTyre è stata riconosciuta a livello globale, con presenza in alcune delle più grandi catene sportive, distributori e negozi online internazionali. Nel 2020 lo store online di reTyre ha esaurito i prodotti invernali più popolari in meno di 3 settimane già all’inizio della stagione.

A Norwegian start-up has developed a system with which to easily change the “skin” of tires in complete safety; now it is possible in a matter of seconds to go from asphalt to dirt, to snow and ice with the bike.

ReTyre is a modular system of tires with interchangeable treads, “Skins”, equipped with a patented and integrated zip-on technology, which allows the tread to be adapted to the needs of the moment in a few seconds. The system consists of two modules, namely the basic tire reTyre One, a fast and smooth road tire with integrated zip-on technology, and the reTyre Skins, treads that can be connected to the zip, designed for different road conditions.

To date, 4 Skin variants are available: winter studded light, heavy studded for ice, trail and gravel / multiterrain.

The base cover behaves like any classic tire, while the integrated hinges offer the additional functionality for the different surfaces to cross. The third generation of the system benefits from the perfected zip-on technology with unique stainless steel hinges, the new Skin technology for ultra-thin and resistant coatings, improved rubber compounds and tested in different harsh environments.

The validity of the reTyre system has been recognized globally, with presence in some of the largest sports chains, distributors and international online stores. In 2020, the reTyre online store sold out the most popular winter products in less than 3 weeks already at the start of the season.
