Mario Schifano, Solo (1984)

Titina Maselli, Ciclista (1993)
Colori vivi e graffianti, con le figura che quasi esce in volata dalla tela. Maselli racconta per anni lo sport tendendo a catturare “«a tensione urlata, col colore più elementare e contrastato possibile», come lei stessa raccontava le sue opere.

Roberto Sironi, Sprint (2013)
In questa acrilico su cartoncino le pennellate costruiscono con sapienza la folla di spettatori intenti ad assistere alla gara rappresentata in primo piano. Fino al 6 agosto 2018, la Pasticceria Cucchi di Milano espone 19 opere di Sironi dedicate al mondo del ciclismo con focus particolare sul Giro d’Italia.

Aligi Sassu, I Ciclisti (1957)
La fatica, lo sforzo e la lotta rappresentati in maniera realistica e vivida sono protagonisti di questo olio su tela dal titolo «I Ciclisti». «Solo chi ha lottato sulle strade può comprenderne la poesia», spiega Sassu. Tema ricorrente di molte sue opere, i suoi disegni sono diventati anche un libro: «Gianni Brera, I ciclisti di Aligi Sassu – Disegni, Edizioni della Seggiola, 1980».

Anselmo Bucci, Giro (1936
L’aquarello dell’artista, tra i fondatori del Novecento italiano, fa parte di tre album dedicati al Tour de France del 1935, al Giro d’Italia del 1936 e del 1939. Qui la fuga di Bartali su Gran Sasso seguita da Bucci, insieme all’inviato del Corriere della Sera Orio Vergani.
