Ciclobus Segrate

La mobilità sostenibile è la grande sfida per il futuro.
Il Comune di Segrate ha dimostrato di essere all’altezza di questa sfida. Lo scorso 10 novembre, a Parma, che ha ospitato la V edizione di Urban Award, Premio per la mobilità sostenibile nell'ambito dell'assemblea nazionale dell'ANCI, si è aggiudicato una menzione speciale con il Ciclobus Segrate.

Ideato da Ludovica Casellati, direttrice di Viagginbici.com, Urban Award, con top sponsor Intesa Sanpaolo, ha l’obiettivo di premiare i comuni virtuosi e incentivare le amministrazioni a investire su i progetti legati alla bicicletta e alla mobilità sostenibile. Grazie all’iniziativa, cittadini e turisti hanno l’opportunità di conoscere le soluzioni che le diverse amministrazioni hanno realizzato per favorire l’utilizzo di biciclette e del trasporto integrato al fine di diminuire l’impatto generato dai veicoli privati.

A ritirare la menzione speciale sono stati il sindaco Paolo Micheli e il Mobiity Manager del Comune Andrea Belloni.

I numeri del mondo della bicicletta sono chiarissimi. Secondo le anticipazioni del Rapporto 2021 dell’Osservatorio sul cicloturismo, realizzato da Isnart, nel 2020 i cicloturisti italiani sono stati 4,7 milioni e hanno generato una spesa di 4,1 miliardi di euro. Un potenziale enorme per le amministrazioni comunali che cercano la strada giusta per far ripartire anche il turismo dopo la pandemia.

“La bicicletta, così come la mobilità sostenibile, ormai è parte integrante della programmazione urbana di tutte le città, piccole o grandi che siano - ha spiegato il presidente dell’Anci Antonio Decaro -. Dopo i mesi trascorsi alle prese con le restrizioni legate all’emergenza sanitaria, che hanno interessato anche i sistemi di trasporto, ancora di più è cresciuta l’attenzione e la sensibilità degli amministratori locali e dei cittadini rispetto all’opportunità di incrementare politiche e azioni di sviluppo e promozione di mobilità sostenibile, sia sul fronte delle infrastrutture sia sul fronte della dotazione dei mezzi”.

"Muoversi in compagnia in modo divertente, ecologico e salutare si può e si deve fare - ha commentato nel ritirare il premio il sindaco Paolo Micheli -. Attraverso il Ciclobus, l'innovativo servizio di trasporto scolastico a pedali che abbiamo attivato nel 2020, stiamo sensibilizzando i bambini e le bambine delle scuole elementari e le loro famiglie che ringrazio per la partecipazione. Ringrazio inoltre i volontari del Ciclobus e Fiab Segrate Ciclabile che in città promuove da anni l'utilizzo della bicicletta negli spostamenti quotidiani. Da piccole iniziative come quelle del Ciclobus, nascono grandi rivoluzioni".

Sustainable mobility is the great challenge for the future.

The Municipality of Segrate has shown that it is up to this challenge. On 10 November, in Parma, which hosted the 5th edition of the Urban Award, Prize for sustainable mobility within the ANCI national assembly, it was awarded a special mention with the Ciclobus Segrate.

Thanks to the initiative, citizens and tourists have the opportunity to learn about the solutions that the various administrations have created to encourage the use of bicycles and integrated transport in order to reduce the impact generated by private vehicles.

The mayor Paolo Micheli and the Mobiity Manager of the Municipality Andrea Belloni received the special mention.

The numbers in the world of bicycles are very clear. According to the advances in the 2021 Report of the Observatory on cycle tourism, created by Isnart, in 2020 there were 4.7 million Italian cycling tourists and generated an expense of 4.1 billion euros. A huge potential for municipal administrations who are looking for the right path to restart tourism after the pandemic.

I also thank the volunteers of Ciclobus and Fiab Segrate Ciclabile who for years has been promoting the use of bicycles in the city for daily commuting. From small initiatives such as those of Ciclobus, great revolutions are born ".
