La nuova mountain bike elettrificata che permette ad ognuno di andare ovunque e senza alcun ostacolo. La eMTB Orange Phase AD3, progettata e realizzata grazie ad un complesso lavoro e interventi meticolosi che sono durati ben sei anni, arriverà presto sul mercato. Si tratta della primissima mountain bike elettriche adattiva strutturata realizzata con tre ruote e un sedile confortevole e stabile, oltre che avvolgente.
Il motivo che sta alla base di una creazione così unica è quello di dare un veicolo anche a tutti i ciclisti diversamente abili, in modo da abbattere le barriere e dare a tutti la possibilità di viaggiare all’avventura con una nuova mountain bike elettrica che non conosce ostacoli, o quasi. Un veicolo a tra ruote grazie al quale tutti avranno la possibilità di provare la gioia di pedalare in mezzo alla natura.
La bici è nata dalla collaborazione tra Orange e Alex Desmond. La base di partenza per la realizzazione del nuovo veicolo è una eBike Orange Phase, a cui è stato sapientemente modificato il telaio, in modo da renderla utilizzabile da Lorraine “The Pocket Rocket” Truong, ex pilota professionista di XC, enduro e downhill.
Il campione ha subito diversi incidenti e oggi è costretto a convivere con un perenne senso di stanchezza molto forte, con dei dolori alla testa tremendi e soffre di una forma di “paralisi morbida”. Per questo motivo Alex Desmond, che oggi è Senior Design Engineer di Orange Bikes e inventore del collegamento AD3, ha pensato al modo per far provare nuovamente al suo amico Lorraine l’ebbrezza di tornare in sella.
Grazie alle sue conoscenze e all’aiuto di vari collaboratori l’ingegnere ha iniziato a lavorare alla realizzazione della nuova bicicletta adattiva. Nasce così la nuova e unica Orange Phase AD3. La eMTB ha il telaio in alluminio, trasmissione Box One a 9 velocità; il propulsore Paradox Kinetics è montato al centro e sviluppa 150 Nm di coppia.
Batteria agli ioni di litio da 504 Wh lungo il tubo obliquo. Freni a disco idraulici Hope tech 3 V4 rendono la eBike sicura, le due ruote anteriori sono da 27,5 pollici e sono dotate di un collegamento a sbalzo, che permette al veicolo di inclinarsi in base alle angolazioni, senza sollevarsi da terra ed evitando quindi ogni rischio caduta.

The reason behind such a unique creation is to give a vehicle also to all disabled cyclists, in order to break down barriers and give everyone the opportunity to travel on an adventure with a new electric mountain bike that does not knows obstacles, or almost. A wheeled vehicle thanks to which everyone will have the opportunity to experience the joy of pedaling in the midst of nature.

For this reason Alex Desmond, who today is Senior Design Engineer of Orange Bikes and inventor of the AD3 link, has thought of how to make his friend Lorraine feel again the thrill of getting back on the saddle.
Thanks to his knowledge and the help of various collaborators, the engineer began working on the creation of the new adaptive bicycle. Thus was born the new and unique Orange Phase AD3. The eMTB has an aluminum frame, 9-speed Box One transmission; the Paradox Kinetics powertrain is center-mounted and develops 150Nm of torque.

Hope tech 3 V4 hydraulic disc brakes make the eBike safe, the two front wheels are 27.5 inches and are equipped with a cantilever connection, which allows the vehicle to tilt according to the angles, without lifting off the ground and thus avoiding any risk of falling.
