Il nuovo Codice della Strada, in vigore dal 10 novembre 2021, oltre alle novità riguardanti i monopattini elettrici, prevede anche alcune novità riguardanti le luci sulle biciclette.
Le luci da montare sulla bici per rendersi visibili al buio (articolo 68 del Codice della strada) devono essere sempre presenti visibili. Tuttavia, finora erano obbligatori solo in caso di circolazione da mezz’ora dopo il tramonto del sole a mezz’ora prima del suo sorgere (e anche di giorno nelle gallerie e in ogni altro caso di scarsa visibilità).
Quindi, a chi circola solo di giorno non basterà più montare solo il campanellino, come previsto finora.
I dispositivi per la visibilità devono essere installati:
- davanti: luci bianche o gialle;
- dietro: luci rosse e catadiottri rossi;
- sui pedali e sui lati: catadiottri gialli.
The new Highway Code, effective from 10 November 2021, in addition to the news regarding electric scooters, also includes some news regarding the lights on bicycles.
The lights to be mounted on the bike to make themselves visible in the dark (article 68 of the Highway Code) must always be present and visible. However, until now they were only mandatory in the case of traffic from half an hour after sunset to half an hour before its sunrise (and also during the day in tunnels and in any other case of poor visibility).
Therefore, for those who travel only during the day it will no longer be enough to mount only the bell, as expected so far.
Visibility devices must be installed:
- front: white or yellow lights;
- behind: red lights and red reflectors;
- on the pedals and on the sides: yellow reflectors.
