South Australia Police will be escorting all riders from the start for a short distance. However this escort does NOT represent a road closure and riders MUST obey all normal road rules, including stopping at any red traffic signals, railway crossings, stop signs, riding two abreast and obeying the instructions of SAPOL or any Bupa Challenge Tour official or marshal.
All riders will be given an ID tag, which should be attached to their bike. This will record rider times crossing the start line, checkpoints and the finish line to give an accurate active riding time. If riders do not cross the start or finish line they will not receive a time.
