In fuga

Sixteen chapters recalling legendary races and businesses, sports dramas, victories and defeats. But in addition to relive indelible pages of cycling history Davide De Zan gives the readers, for each chapter, a background.
From the Great Snowfall on the Gavia of 1998, to the consecration of Chiappucci to the Sestriere in 1992, the Cipollini World Championship, passing through Roubaix with the three champions of Mapei on the run and with Tafi (who was together with his teammates Museeuw and Bortolami) unveil all the secrets of that incredible day.

The most interesting part of the book concerns two characters symbol of that cycling breathed "live" by De Zan along the streets of Giro and Tour. With passion, heart (but also pain) here appear between the pages the hero and the antihero of the two-wheeled world: Pantani and Armstrong.

And here the author aims to describe more men than the champions ... with their loads of victories but above all human and sporting dramas.

Particularly intriguing is the chapter ("The man who lived three times") on the American cyclist that ends with a disturbing question: was there only the doping behind the conquest of the seven consecutive tours or something else?

One of the many secrets that this book tells.

Book that can not miss in the library of true cycling fans.
