La bicicletta gialla

«La bicicletta gialla è un’idea di felicità raggiungibile." 

La presentazione della fiaba in ottava rima illustrata “La bicicletta gialla” (Topipittori, 2018) si è svolta sabato 19, al Museo della Grafica, a Palazzo Lanfranchi, attraverso una conversazione con gli autori Matteo Pelliti e Riccardo Guasco.

«Nel gennaio del 2016 - ricorda Pelliti - inviai all’editore milanese Topipittori l’idea di una piccola favola intorno ad una bicicletta. Di biciclette parlava il mio primo libro di poesie, Versi Ciclabili, del 2007, e in quella raccolta di poesie dedicate alla bicicletta si trovava un testo, “Ricordo infantile”, in cui raccontavo la delusione di una bicicletta-rottame ricevuta in dono da bambino. Da qui è nata l’idea di questa storia, che lega insieme un padre, un figlio e una bicicletta gialla».

Pelliti non aveva mai scritto un testo per un libro illustrato e dedicato esplicitamente ai bambini, ma era certo che avrebbe voluto Riccardo Guasco come illustratore, un artista che si è affermato a livello internazionale anche grazie alla sua originalità nel trattare il mondo della bicicletta e del ciclismo.
Conosceva i suoi lavori da tempo e con lui condivideva non solo l’amore per la bicicletta, ma anche precisi riferimenti estetici, come il gusto per l’arte del primo Novecento.

Il protagonista della fiaba è un bambino di nome Giovannino. Ha la passione del ciclismo e vuole una bicicletta. Gialla. Nuova fiammante. Il papà, cercando di esaudire il suo desiderio, trova un vecchio telaio e si mette all’opera. Ma per Giovannino tutto ciò che è vecchio è brutto.
E allora, disperazione! Finché dal garage del papà esce un mezzo straordinario.

“Non si tratta più di un giocattolo – afferma Pelliti – è il vero desiderio che si realizza ed è importante perché per la prima volta diventi autonomo e devi imparare a stare in equilibrio, la bicicletta prende vita per il suo rapporto antropometrico con il corpo umano, è nata per adattarsi ad esso, è animata, proprio come intende e recita la mia poetica”.

La bicicletta e il bambino. Il rapporto tra l’oggetto, non uno qualsiasi, e l’essere umano, che è soggetto. Qual è l’attore? Forse entrambi. Sì, incastro divino, meccanismo perfetto, mediazione, interazione, meta-comunicazione. E per finire: completezza.
Questa è una fiaba. Ed è il frutto di un connubio di idee. Una fiaba che racconta una storia. Una storia che narra le vicende di un viaggio. Un viaggio che ha “il profumo della vita”, dove “prima di ogni discesa è una salita”.

The presentation of the fairy tale in the eighth rhyme illustrated "The Yellow Bicycle" (Topipittori, 2018) took place on Saturday 19, at the Museo della Grafica, at Palazzo Lanfranchi, through a conversation with the authors Matteo Pelliti and Riccardo Guasco.

«In January 2016 - Pelliti recalls - I sent Topipittori to the Milanese publisher the idea of ​​a little fairy tale around a bicycle. My first book of poetry, Versi Ciclabili, of 2007, spoke of bicycles, and in that collection of poems dedicated to the bicycle there was a text, "Childish Memory", in which I told the disappointment of a bicycle-scrap received as a gift from a child . Hence the idea of ​​this story, which links a father, a son and a yellow bicycle together ».

Pelliti had never written a text for an illustrated book dedicated explicitly to children, but it was certain that he wanted Riccardo Guasco as an illustrator, an artist who has established himself internationally thanks to his originality in dealing with the world of bicycle and cycling.
He knew his work for some time and with him he shared not only his love for cycling, but also precise aesthetic references, such as the taste for art of the early twentieth century.

The protagonist of the fairy tale is a child named Giovannino. He has a passion for cycling and wants a bicycle. Yellow. New flaming. The father, trying to fulfill his wish, finds an old loom and gets to work. But for Giovannino, everything that is old is ugly.
And then, despair! As long as an extraordinary vehicle comes out of his father's garage.

"It is no longer a toy - says Pelliti - is the real desire that is realized and it is important because for the first time become autonomous and you must learn to stay in balance, the bicycle comes to life for its anthropometric relationship with the human body , was born to adapt to it, it is animated, just as my poetry intends and recites ".

The bicycle and the child. The relationship between the object, not any one, and the human being, which is subject. What is the actor? Maybe both. Yes, divine interlocking, perfect mechanism, mediation, interaction, meta-communication. And finally: completeness.
This is a fairy tale. And it is the result of a union of ideas. A fairy tale that tells a story. A story that tells the story of a journey. A journey that has "the scent of life", where "before every descent is a climb".
